Jake & Hannah || Downtown Crawfordsville Engagement

Engagement

I’ve pretty much known Hannah as long as I can remember. We met when we were both really little in this super quaint church in New Market, where our parents both lived. We became instant friends, as did our parents! We took part in some pretty embarrassing church plays and there are way more embarrassing photos than I can count of us playing together at my parents house. Hannah was one of my first clients when I started way back in the day!

I didn’t actually meet Jake until last December, but as soon as I had heard about her new boyfriend I knew that they were going to get married; they sounded so perfect for each other! The first time I “officially” met Jake in person was small business Saturday, and Crawfordsville makes it a big event to celebrate downtown. ALL of the local business are open extra late to celebrate the evening! I remember walking into a little game store off of Washington street, seeing them together, and then trying to stop smiling so awkwardly so that she wouldn’t catch on that Jake had actually gotten into contact with me a few months before to prepare for his proposal. Luckily, she was completely oblivious to my awkward smiles and giddy laughs, because she was floored when we met again that snowy December day when he proposed marriage to her. It was such a special moment for me, to see how happy she was to have found the man that she had been praying for.

Jake and Hannah’s engagement session was so sweet for me, because I loved getting to talk, spend time with them, share my favorite nooks of downtown Crawfordsville, and most importantly see the special way that they interact with each other. I am so excited for their wedding in May, and to watch Jake and Hannah’s separate paths become one as they begin their lives as a married couple.
