2018 Hidden Hollow Bridal Show Recap

February 19, 2018

Educational

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to be a vendor at the second annual Hidden Hollow Farm bridal show.  It was a beautiful event with many talented wedding vendors! As nervous as I was the past few weeks in preparation, I had so much fun setting up my booth, getting to network with some really amazing vendors, and meet so many brides planning their day.

About My Booth

I really wanted the space to be an extension of and match my brand, so I chose a backdrop with mesh curtains and string lights to create a soft, romantic space. I used the table in the back to highlight a few of my favorite photos from years past, and the white drop leaf table (an heirloom from my mother’s family) to display a few of the tangible products that I offer. I truly understand how stressful wedding planning can be sometimes and I believe that sometimes you just need a night off from wedding planning to reconnect, so I held a drawing for a date night giveaway that brides could sign up for! This was also a great way for me to get an idea of how far in advance brides are looking to hire their wedding photographer. My goal is to help, support, and make all of my bride’s wedding days as stress free as possible, so each bride looking for a photographer received a comprehensive packet with all of the information that they need about me, my services, and about the booking process so that they could look at it and digest it at their own pace and make an informed decision outside of the over stimulus that bridal shows usually have.

Final Thoughts

This was my second show so I felt a little more confident preparing my things and it is definitely something that I’m looking forward to doing more. I loved getting to connect with and listen to brides tell me about their wedding day, and it was so much fun to get to walk around a little bit and chat with other wedding vendors and learn about their stories. I loved how my booth turned out this year and I’m so looking forward to what’s in store this year!

Can you tell me about your logo sign? What kind of sign is it and where did you order it from? Also how did you hang it from the backdrop? This is something I am planning on doing in August. Thank you!

Hey, Erin! My logo sign is a canvas that I had made from my printing company, I hung onto my backdrop with fishing line. The backdrop is a photo backdrop stand, and I used IKEA mosquito netting as curtains and hung string lights that I got off of Amazon using clips onto the back of the curtain. Hope this helps, good luck with your show in August!
