I'm Victoria (but I feel like that's pretty obvious, ha!) and I'm a wedding photographer on a mission to photograph the madly in love and everyone feel like the real rockstars that they really are in front of the camera.
Most days you can find me brewing coffee with an old sitcom on in the background and taking millions of photos of our SWEETEST & most adorable dog sleeping or just being cute. In my free time, I love exploring new places with my husband, DIY-ing, and take our renovated fifth wheel to new and exciting places. Seriously, we're basically old people!
People often refer to me as an energetic, positive, and encouraging person who loves to create and capture both candid and posed moments that you'll treasure forever. I'll NEVER deny a sweet treat, so don't hesitate to reach out to chat about your wedding over coffee + donuts!
my story >>
Being a wedding photographer means so much to me. Honestly, I never thought of "photographer" as being a career choice that I could make growing up, or that I'd ever be able to make it as a photographer. I always saw it as one of those far-off dreams like becoming a full time musician, professional athlete, you get the drift.. Not sure where my life would lead me, I took a cadet teaching course my senior year of high school and loved it. So then, I pursued Elementary Education at Purdue University and felt like that was what I was supposed to do. Junior year I felt my passions shifting. Education became less of something that I felt like I could do for the rest of my life and my love for photography became something that I could see a real future with. Why conform to the social norms when I could take a shot at pursuing what I am most passionate about?
After I finished my degree at Purdue and got my teaching license there was this huge open door that was really intimidating to me. This pivotal moment where I could do whatever I wanted. I took an aiding position at a local elementary school so I could try out the idea of being a full time photographer, and I've never looked back since. For the first time in my life I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, doing exactly what I'm supposed to do, and it's liberating.

Honestly, anyone can click a camera shutter and take a photo. If you practice enough, you can take a "pretty" photo. But that's not all that this business that I've built from the ground up is. For me, being your wedding photographer is SO. MUCH. MORE. It's creating relationships, it's knowing when to be and where to capture the most raw, fleeting, and beautiful moments, it's being your calm within the storm, and it's photographing emotions and moments- not just people. I understand how those little moments mean so much and I'm constantly looking for them at your wedding.
My purpose in photography is to tell the story of your love, plain and simple. I want you to remember the overwhelming excitement bubbling up from inside of yo be able to look back at your wedding photos and feel the emotion from the first time you saw your dapper Groom, the look of pride in your father’s eye as he walks you down the aisle, the way you giggled uncontrollably because the word "husband" felt so silly and foreign on your tongue.
Photographing weddings might be my career, but it's so much more than that to me because these photos that I capture aren't just images to me, they are meaningful moments preserved in time forever.
Trapper John, the King of the bed and the holder of our hearts. He’s the unofficial VHP mascot, the perfect snuggler, and the ultimate heartthrob of the Hunt household. Trapper is a lover of belly rubs and morning snuggles, and spends his free time chasing frisbees and crashing my FaceTime conferences.
Yep, we're the cousin Eddie of the bunch! We take our camper and our dog with us anywhere and everywhere. We spend our days hiking, making delicious food, playing games, and disconnecting from the outside world and connecting with each other. There's not much better than getting to explore the world with your favorite people and sleeping under a bed of stars.
I might not always be good at them (or get them done on time) but there I love the satisfaction of getting a project done knowing that my hard work got it done. Our home and our camper has been really one DIY project after another and I've had such a blast getting to work on different things! Plus, having a handy husband helps! ;)
Plants. I'm pretty much obsessed with them. Our house is filled with them! When my husband and I bought our house in April of 2016 one of things that I was the most excited about was the opportunity to plant flowers in front of our house and a garden out back. One of the highlights of my day is going out back to our garden with my husband and dog in tow to check on our plants and bring in the bounty.
